Any takers on crunching NumberFields@Home?

I dare say I could run a unit or two.
Especially if it'll help the scole data centre effort

Judged by your badges you two could certainly use a few WUs

Silver, I think we've been insulted!
Rosetta is back in the top 100, so I'm in.
If you want to bunker, the IP address range to block is 129.219.51.0 - 129.219.51.255
The Get Decics with Bounded Discriminant WUs appear to pay about 20% better than the Get Decic Fields WUs. I want WUProp app work though, so I'm going for both.

What prefs do you set to get a particular type of WU ?The Get Decics with Bounded Discriminant WUs appear to pay about 20% better than the Get Decic Fields WUs. I want WUProp app work though, so I'm going for both.

12 hours till start. 2694 tasks in progress :)
Could have gotten a better jump, but ran out of work and spent a lot of time installing VMs on several systems to pick up the slack. I'm getting pretty good at setting up a VM, installing Ubuntu, etc.

Well your doing better than I am Scole.

I don't think vanos0512 is in any danger of losing the heavyweight belt. I am hoping for a sapphire badge by the end of the challenge though.

Let's not leave out Dirk Broer in 8th, single handedly keeping the AMD Users team in a respectable 5th.
Also, I took another look at the difference in credit between the 2 apps. The only difference in credit is the very short Get Decic Fields which run less than 10 seconds. Those pay poorly, but the total amount of time spent on them is comparatively low and doesn't really affect the total credit earned much. So if you want to get some WUProp app credit on that app, it shouldn't affect your total NumberFields@Home credit very much.

And where are our pirate manners? Alez is in 4th :pirate:
Either Alez or Tech Support must be keeping tabs, because he seems to have his rigs pretty focused on NumberFields@Home, which is surprising since he's on his annual retreat. Tech Support, you out here? No lurking :)

A little over a 1.5 days left. We're still in the lead, but another one of SETI.USA's big guns, cineon_lut, has joined the challenge. Skywalker is on the board. Any other TSBT members want to join?
And with 812,000 down and 188,00 to go, I think I'll get that sapphire badge.

It is a pity that Numberfields belongs to those projects who, after a few easy-to-obtain badges, reverts to almost-impossible-to-get badges. Next stop: Ruby for 10,000,000 credits (I will reach 1,500,000 today...)

Dirk do you want to do it on your own or would you be open to a "little" help? I could give you a couple hours worth.Dirk Broer wrote:I am busy battling 10 members of LAF for 5th place, so please pass...Bryan wrote:Look out Dirk, I'm on your six :)
I don't know what is happening to Sphynx and CIneon ... it appears they may be bunkeirng. They haven't mentioned anything so that is a pure guess on my part but their numbers have greatly decreased over the past few hours.
@Scole ... the WOW event won't miss me, I don't do Seti.

Most of my rigs have picked up much longer running WUs, taking up to 8 hours or more to finish. They might have the same situation.

#30 Re: 06/08-10/08 Hans Moser Memorial Challenge NumberFields@h
That would certainly explain it.scole250 wrote:Most of my rigs have picked up much longer running WUs, taking up to 8 hours or more to finish. They might have the same situation.
@Dirk, it appears you have the problem with LAF taken care of quite nicely

Well we're into the last 6 ish hours of the comp.
TSBT and Scole both hanging onto the top spots, fingers crossed we can retain then till the end :bounce:
I was going to say something else about Scole but I'm not going to jinx it......

I switched back to SUSA but returned most of the machines back to their "normal" crunching. Hopefully the stats export is at 1200 UTC. If so it won't show that I was ever here
Congrats on the win guys!
