Time to start loading the pending queue. It can take a while for credit to be granted. I still have pending from Oct. Hoping to have my new office workstation put together before then. :)

I just run the gpu apps, at least this time and maybe the last one, too. Mainly because there was and is a cpu project challenge at the same time. A Skynet POGS challenge is supposed to start on the 20th and some of us were going to attack that one too. I try to stop downloading new WUs for non-challenge projects far enough ahead of time to finish them so I'm not taking resources away from a challenge trying to finish the other WUs before their deadline.

Hoping for a good turnout on this challenge. FYI..Janos had reported problems running Einstein and I have a system where either the video driver wrecks or PC reboots on the BRP5-opencl-ati WUs. Running only the BRP4G-opencl-ati WUs works fine though. This may be my best bunker effort. Shooting for a 7 figure bunker. We'll see. :D

Well since I'm separated from the tech shed by 5000 miles or so it will be a standing start for me :D

Einstein at #79 in the world now. That's the highest position it has ever been and we haven't started the competition. looking forward to gaining another couple of world positions once all these bunker busters start getting dropped. :D
Guess I'll be ambling along at the back of the line .... for a little while

robmacagain, if you're done capping on my music choice, how about joining the Einstein challenge? We're in 2nd with a couple much bigger teams gaining on us, but with some more help we might be able to hold on.

Indeed, someone was a very busy little beaver in their bunker :D
Mind you I'm 10th from a standing start so ... so far so good. The thing that perplexes me though is I started the comp with 490 pending and I now have 501 pending. So who's got all my units squirreled away ? Though some of them at least would have been in peeps bunkers

Not too shabby eh?

I still have 280 pending. I don't think I'm the pending problem this time. I only have 108 in progress among 5 systems and one is knocking off 8 WU per hour.

Not too shabby at all. Still up there as top dog. Keep it up. :D

6 of us in the top 100, though down to 4th as a team. Not exactly unexpected. Could be done with a few more peeps prioritising Einstein for the next few days.

Guess I am just being unlucky with the pendings. Must be from people who hoard weeks worth of units for no good reason

We're slowly gaining on Astronomy.Ru Forum, but L'Alliance Francophone is gaining on us even faster.

Started crunching the CPU apps too. No theSkynet POGS to bunker. My pending up to 360 :?

I'm not crunching any more CPU app WUs. I have one system that could finish 4 Binary Radio Pulsar Search (Arecibo, GPU) v1.39 (BRP4G-opencl-ati) every 30 minutes while the CPUs were crunching yoyo apps. Then I started running 4 Gamma-ray pulsar search #4 v1.04 (FGRP4-SSE2) WUs instead at the same time as the Arecibo GPU WUs with and nothing else. With CPU apps running the elapsed time for the GPU Wus increased 6 minutes per WU. After 7.5 hours, I completed 4 CPU WUs which yield 2772 credits, but reduced GPU WUs by 6, losing 6000 credits. Net loss of 3228 credits over 7.5 hours. :? No more CPU WUs on GPU systems for this challenge.

Thats interesting, never would've thought that the type of CPU wu would make any difference.
I was just trying to work out if I can optimise my GPU any better, need to alter the number of units its running simultaneously and do some more calcs!

I'm running 2 wu per GPU on all systems. Most systems run the aricebo GPU apps best. One runs the Perseus GPU apps best.

A little planning goes a long way. And a few good GPUs can make the difference. I think BOINC@Poland might slowly gain on us to take 4th though.

Come on TSBT! We need some more CPU and GPU power. Crunch some Einstein for Scotland's honor! Image

Still holding onto 4th. Only Sici, L'AF & SETIUSA ahead of us.
We need to watch out for the Poles though.

Scole still unassailable in the individual stakes! :D

The einstein project is out of GPU WUs and the work generators for those apps are down :x

They apparently have either bad WUs or validator. Lots of invalid WUs. Work generators are up and down, testing I guess.
