No bunkering in FB?

Up until 2 years ago, they announced the project 3 days prior. People complained about bunkering. Last year they changed the project announcement to 1 day before the sprint. The same people complained about bunkering. This year they changed it and don't announce the project until the beginning of the sprint. The same people complain. We bunker on several projects and have gotten lucky before. Meanwhile the same people oe their teammates bunker for the Pentathlon events but complain about the other teams. They complain just to complain. They are poison to Boinc competitions.

If you want to bunker, there are some project to not choose. Don't choose one of the projects already chosen for a sprint this year. It is possible they could choose the same project again but less likely than another viable project. There are also some project which don't want to Sprint on their project including ODLK, ODLK1 and Wanless.

Actually I think bunkering is annoying. It's a lot of effort and spoils the competition. It also pisses off the project admins who have to cope with sudden surges in traffic.

Think of a normal running race, you don't get to start before the whistle!

Me personally could do with a Universe@Home sprint now...

Does anyone know what the project will be?

If I travelled back in time to tell you I'd be charged with disobeying the 478th law of the continuum. I will not take that risk.

As much as the server would let me, so I needed to bleed off the remaining 450+ today. My team mate SuicideCabbage had a 64-core Threadrippe or EPYC at the project and even needed to bleed off 4200+ after closure of the Pentathlon: "I had over 4000 complete Universe tasks at the start of the [last] day (UTC), I managed to get ~250 or so up, ended the day with about 4200 complete."

When does the Sprint start?

It started at 5pm EST but the project hasn't been announced yet.
