I see no one has bothered answering this , i absolutely love Merrydown cider it's gorge, i love single malt too Jura especially, Tesco do a lovely 12 yo highland malt but its made for them by Whyte and Macay.
I don't remember seeing this thread before but 442 other people have!!
Have to say I'm usually found at the bar with a pint of lager in hand. Don't mind a vodka and coke and quite like a cheeky rum and coke every now and again :pirate:
Every now and then I'll drink a beer or twelve. But only if I'm fishing or doing something else On a hot day, I like a good margarita too. Not one of those slushy ones, but with real lime juice, decent tequila, plenty of salt on the rim and just enough ice to keep cool until I finish it.
Ha ha when i 1st read that i thought it said "i also like a good MaryJane", 'till i re read it .
I remember getting totally wasted on them Margaritas in Ocho Rios then falling asleep in the mid day sun and getting fried, took about 4 days for the burn to stop oops .
Anyway my favourites would be Deuchers I.P.A. & Famous Grouse.
I like many a single malt - Laphroig would be my favourite Islay one & Glenfiddich my favourite Speysider - but for sheer uncomplicated enjoyable quaffing you can't beat a glass of Grouse.
Never tried MaryJane -or at least not when I've been sober enough to a. inhale effectively and b. notice any effect - but margaritas in my experience tend to lead inexorably to tequilla slammers after which time & memory disappear.
I went to the opening of a Mexican restaurant in Moscow of all places, free Tequila on the night......
ended up I was the only one there and ended up drinking the Tequila with the restaurant staff. Worst hangover of my life, never been able to smell, let alone drink the stuff since.
My current favorite is Brugal Dominican Rum. Add some coke and ice, awesome
The best form of help from above is a sniper on the rooftop....
Yes, a good margarita, or a daiquiri (original recipes, not a pile of icy slush), shaken over ice in a glass out of the freezer. Caipirinhas are good too, as is a nice mojito. A fine Islay malt is good too! Gin and tonic after a bit of exercise on a hot day. Guinness, Murphy's, a good IPA. Man, there's so much to enjoy and not enough brain cells! Sauvignon blanc, Zinfandel, Red Stripe, Gosling's Black Seal, these are a few of my favourite things, La la Laaa la....
When I was drinking I downed Johnny Walker Red or Black. Probably how my heart go so messed up
to begin with. Now I'm limited to diet sodas that are caffeine free. Don't tell my relatives but I still sneak in a beer
once in a while. Shhhhhhh
Buster is my dog. Sadly, Buster is gone.
