After a day we are comfortable in 5th from 17. No threats from below, but not really hounding the teams above either. Guess we are in a league of our own :?

Of course should Janos and a herd of raging 7970 munchers choose to join in then that would be a game changer. I'm also certain that Mega has this on his to do list, pinned somewhere on the fridge ?

It was all going so well until the scheduler discovered some Collatz units last night.
I need to find time to sort out the optimisation settings you posted Alez and see if I can close the gap :)

At least you'll get decent credits out of it. Last night mine found seti to munch on the ATI.
The scheduler is nuts.
I changed everything ages ago to a 1 - 10 scale ( why they use 100 is beyond me ) normally the highest ranked projects are set to 6, lowest to 1
Because of the competition I have set milkyway to 66, seti is set to 1 and yet the scheduler downloads seti units to run  I would like to know in which alternative universe this is logical :drunken:

...I believe it is called Discworld and you are probably somewhere near Rimfall judging from the behaviour of your scheduler. Be careful, or you will fall off the edge. :D

Discworld makes more sense than Boincworld. If I get a picture of Great A'Tuin I'll post it up, provided the luggage doesn't eat the camera :D

Well the amphibian chasing me is more persistent than the amphibian chasing Paul. Jeez, they are everywhere. Can't we eat them or something to thin their numbers out ?

TSBT currently 5th , wont go higher, I am also thinking that we can't be caught. I'm 9th, Paul 12th, Radio 32nd. Considering to stay with this or go collatz, Or stay here then go collatz. Decisions, Decisions :?

I was looking at the numbers again too Alez. I think I'm going to run some Collatz overnight then see how we look in the morning

Yup. The Milkyway die is well & truly cast: the Poles cannot be caught & neither can the Ukrainians possibly catch us. :|

The outcome is less certain on the Collatz front. We are leading just now (and I have oddles of pending credit) but Are You Having A [L'AF] could close the gap. Maybe. But why take chances? You know what to do! :)

Not sure we'll be able to help.
The work generators for Collatz are now disabled to allow the backlog of units to be caught up with.
There is a proper explanation here http://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/fo ... &start=300

Team wise it is, but I will have to give up 8th place and the chance of going higher :( hmmm, I'm I a team player :?

Collatz work generator still disabled so we can do nothing to help the team anyway.
Solo glory is your only option Alez 8)

Work generator doesn't matter as there is 3/4 million units waiting to go :D
Transitioner backlog (hours) 26 this is the problem, everything you do goes into a queue for pending.
Have tried for a bit but everything pending. Seems MilkyWay may be the only option at the moment. Will keep an eye on the trasitioner backlog.

Ahh, I thought the work generator sent the work out.
Everyday's a school day - as they say.
I might run a few units tonight then and see if they go through in time to help the team. If not they'll help my credit when they count :)

upload/ download server sends the units to you. Next Collatz challenge is the Coolatz ice race starting on the 9th - 1900. Will be on collatz once MW finishes or bit before if anything starts to validate. Seems some people are validating, others aren't. Bit of a lottery so no idea if LAF really are 2 million up or not.
You might make the top 10 in this challenge yet :)

Starting to look a bit tight  The Americans are coming....
Think we'll need to keep going with milkyway and give collatz a miss :(

SetiUSA have pulled in some of their big hitters. Nothing we can do about it. They have crunched everything we have done in a few hours. Simply wave as they go past. Collatz will start validating in a couple of hours. We probably have more chance crushing the frogs with our 2 x 7970's added to the team on Collatz than going any further here.

I really need to start paying attention before I post.
I didn't notice that the USA had only just jumped in to the comp and are rattling through units like they're going out of fashion :(

That's quite a sizeable list of contributers and a good effort from all.
Go team TSBT!
