That's the Noggies knocked down to 11, TSTB #10. Can we catch the Aussies?

Noggies? My Politicalcorrectnessometer was flashing red & beeping loudly before I worked out you meant Norway. Phew!

Anyhoo. I missed this. The challenge is halfway through and our performance is distinctly sub-stellar. I'll see if I can help.

Should be safely home in 10th position, doubt we can catch the aussie's given the head start we gave them.... or can we. Just less than 2 days to go.

There are only 2247 credits between us and the Aussies. I think we will do it.

Well we managed it, 9th place now. Am I allowed to ask if we can catch the 'froggies' now? or is that another red flag on the Politicalcorrectnessometer ?
They are about 6k in front with less than a day and a half to go and I just lost 12 hrs crunching on 4 cores :x Mind you I still have at least 10 units credit pending.....

Froggies sounds a tad belittling. Best to stick to frogs. Cheese eating surrender monkeys we shall mention not.

Anyway we have utterly spanked our Antipodean rivals so, tall order tho' it may be, with just over a day to go, let us see if we can remind L' Alliance Francophone of what the lingua franca is these days!

To be fair to LAF they were putting up a fight rather than surrendering. Despite their efforts we are now over a 1000 credits clear of them. But with 6 hours left to go that might not be a safe cushion.

All to play for!

16 min to go and we are 2K ahead of LAF.

I think 8th place- ie respectable mid-table mediocrity - is ours! :wav:

And so it finishes, 8th place for TSBT.
Mega in a respectable 45th, myself and Janos in 68 and 72.
Could have been worse if you two hadn't chipped in.

Next one for me will be the Einstein@home which hopefully by then I will have my new i7 combi oven interboiler thingy and I might even have got home long enough to plumb it in !!
We have a few [peeps crunching for that so hopefully we can put up a good show.
