#1 AndrOINC Kudos

Try this!
[For a while at least.
]
This is a newish project. It seems to be about hacking into a specific mobile phone OS so some may wish to challenge its ethical credentials or the extent to which it will increase the net sum of human happiness but no-one can deny the generosity of the credits which are awesome for a cpu only project. See
for instance.
Kudos is due on three counts:
1. Merlyn has become project #1 both by total credit and RAC
2. Merlyn, backed a little by me & historically Realtime, has led the charge to the extent that
TSBT are #2 by RAC and are currently
#5 by TC :wav:
3. It has plucked us from Formula Boinc obscurity to
half way up the table. 8)
If a few more members were to sign up to it we would hit #2 by TC fairly soon and would consolidate our FB position no end. Members would also boost their RAC/TC considerably.
The project URL is

Woo Hoo!!
1. Gary McC joins the charge
2. And within 24 hrs we will be 4th by ANDROINC TC 8)
Anyone else that wants to join the fun feel free! :)

I've tried to attach, but my account was auto created which means I need to 'activate' it. Normal do this by requesting a new password but the project doesn't seem to be sending out the emails that this option creates letting you in!

So that's your excuse! :wink
I've never really trusted this Boinc automation stuff (BAM I take it) I like to be in control and enjoy my daily footer with each & every 'puter.
Not to worry, I've finally got the first i7 back online with a new 1000W PSU so that should boost the Androinc stats. Not that they need much boosting: We are now 4th by total credit :wav: with 3rd just a few weeks away.

Nope, not BAM! - BOINC-wide Teams is the culprit here. Theoretically every project started should automatically create our team and my (as I enterred the team) account. Normally this is no issue but it does require you to 'forget' your password the first time you login to the site...
I've sent the boss a PM on BOINCstats (as he instructed others in the forum) but as yet no reply and no activation e-mail.

All in good time.
Meanwhile I've just become an Androinc millionaire. :wav:
I'll probably ease off a wee bit with it but not until we have hit # 3 as a team, an event just a few days away.

Holy excrement!
AndrOINC and also DNETC have both been offline for over a week.
The two projects shared a server and said machine is currently helping PC Plod with his enquiries.
More information is to be found here
http://boincstats.com/forum/forum_thread.php?id=6315
It looks like both projects are write-offs which given that between the two I must have a million credits worth of results ready to send is a shame. The nature of Plod's interest is not obvious. It might be that the rather dodgy Phone OS hacking goal of Androinc piqued their interest - it's not been a good week for phone hackers.
I'd like to be able to to persuade myself that it is just coincidence that DNETC and Androinc went silent just a day or so after our very own main man and world champion Androincer Merlyn all but started flatlining.

It's most likely nothing to do with the DNETC/Androinc issues but just in case I've detatched all my clients from Androinc.

Maybe I should be glad I never got a reply from the project letting me get access....

The points from both projects were good while they lasted. However since they have been suspended/finished I have found both Milkyway and Collantz somewhat unreliable resulting in much lower daily outputs and less enthusiasm for crunching in general.

Hmm, as Founder of our project team on Androinc you surely must accept responsibility for the actions of the rest of us? Clearly the authorities will look at the stats and see you as the Mr Big behind the whole nefarious business, keeping your hands clean, while getting hapless lowly henchmen like Steve or me to do your dirty work for you! Leastwise that's the tack my lawyer has advised me to take should the solid waste hit the air-conditioning unit!

All joking aside, the team stats are not looking great largely due to the losses of Merlins output (amongst others) – looks like it should not be too hard to get into the top 10 from now on.

Dinnae fash - shite happens!
And when it does you just need to wipe vigourously!
I've posted an
inspirational message here that hopefully will teach you all how lemonade can be made out of lemons!
