69 Borg getting a thrashing by 17 Anguillan Pirates

The only way to have a challenge on a specific application is the way Prime Grid does it. The project handles all stats and they set the start and stop times. No bunkering capability.pinhodecarlos wrote:For application lasieved we are almost reaching 1000 factorizations which is an excellent milestone for NFS@Home. Still to queue 62 integers which will be about 700k units, the less payable ones, 36 per wu. How can a challenge be setup for an application?
Carlos
On what does he base the present credit levels? Not on time needed to crunch a WU.pinhodecarlos wrote:Greg is not willing to change the credit values for 14e and 15e applications. I've been on this quest many years ago.
My hours vs credit are as follows: Hours credit 16e Lattice Sieve V5 3,382.88 1,214,590 over both 16e types 16e Lattice Sieve 1,133.85 15e Lattice Sieve 1,773.90 166,408 14e Lattice Sieve 811.58 33,120And I'm not sure why I've done so many 15e and I'd like another 190 hours on 14e but look at the credit!
Application | Hours per application | Hours per sub-project | WUs | Credits per sub-project | credits/ hour | credits/WU |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
16e Lattice Sieve V5 | 14,774.60 | |||||
16e Lattice Sieve | 6,018.42 | 20,793.02 | 10,767 | 1,399,710 | 67.32 | 130 |
15e Lattice Sieve | 4,398.88 | 4,398.88 | 3,019 | 132,836 | 30.20 | 44 |
14e Lattice Sieve | 7,023.93 | 7,023.93 | 3,357 | 120,852 | 17.21 | 36 |
I'm tired of asking Greg to increase those credits but his main concern is the 16 application where we factor for Cunningham Tables (http://homes.cerias.purdue.edu/~ssw/cun/).Alez wrote:It really is no surprise that people don't run the 14 and 15 apps. The numbers don't lie.
Sounds good, thank you.Alez wrote:How does the 7th to 13th sound if I can get it set up ?
