#1 Rosetta In BIG Trouble!!!!!!!!!!
As you will see from http://boincstats.com/stats/overtake_st ... eam&id=296 we are down to 99th for Rosetta with demotion to 101st within a 8 days a possibility. I'm going to set all my CPU cores onto it if I can. But any extra help would be gratefuly accepted! :) [/url]

There is a WCG Challenge that we initiated starting at 23:45 on the 19th (Friday), but that leaves us a few days to help Rosetta avoid demotion. :)OK - will do what I can.... What happened to UK WCG thinggy or has it sort fizzled out ? :)

Listen up peeps.
The WCG thing is past and our Rosetta problems just got bigger. The situation is critical & today we sank to 100th place and we are just 15K from dropping to 101st .
So, apart from mopping up a few stray WUs from other projects my CPU cores are going to do nothing but Rosetta for just now. I reckon that full on I can turn over about 9K per day which should bring us up to 15K/day & deal with the immediate threat. We probably need a total of 25K/day for a few months to ensure medium term security.
Any volunteers?
MacD, any chance of setting up a Rosetta Challenge?

Okay we are started with an early lead for TSBT & the opposition nowhere to be seen!
We are pulling well ahead of the team that was threatening us and might even recapture 99th over the next few days. Well done all the cavalry!

Overall the Rosetta situation is looking pretty damn stable in an unspectacular way. We are a modest 99th by TC but a magnificent 52nd by RAC which means that we will do a fair bit of overtaking before we risk being overtaken. Keep it up everybody! :) :wav:

Great work. Today TSBT moved into 97th place for Rosetta and is pretty safe for the time being. Thanks and well done to all who answered the call to arms, not least steve. 8)

So what's the next target ? I was going to move back to WCG for the CPU & am thinking of moving back to GPUGrid for the GPU's when their 6.72 WU becomes widely available, which is expected to be soon. :)

FYI, they should be announcing a couple of 'new' projects in the next couple of weeks. 'Clean Energy Project Phase 2' (CEP2) has been tentatively pre-announced as early June and Influenza Phase 2 is expected 'imminently'.aardvark wrote:...I was going to move back to WCG for the CPU...
Also, see this thread for which projects we are doing a challenge in each week. Atm we're doing SETI switching to Docking (on Monday morning) and then to SIMAP the week after.

Don't tell him yet - we want Rosetta to be totally safe!Did anyone tell him the 'charge' is over? You know how he tends to get carried away with these things......not least steve. 8)

We are now 96th for Rosetta and, even though our RAC has dropped back are probably safe for months to come. We can probably let things run & I'll be in touch when the occasion demands.
