Barely running at the moment and may dissappear again but thought I'd spread the word. :)

Crazy at best. Before they started exporting stats, I had 33K in one day. The w/u's hang up my machine, but I got credit anyway. Then just before they started exporting stats, they removed all my credits except for 100.

When they get a real application, I'll give it a try. This is not the best example of German efficiency at the moment. They also need a forum in English. Seems they just want peeps from the Fatherland at the moment.
Buster is my dog. Sadly, Buster is gone.

I've been crunching this with no problems until today, latest batch of w/u's seem to get stuck in an endless loop.
I've reset the project so will monitor it over the coming days.

They've zeroed all the stats on this project.
Think we may have another Predictor style shambles in the making.
Admin claimed he reset credits if someone was getting too many credits and accused them of cheating.
He's now backtracking and has zeroed all the credits.
He seems to forget that he's the one that assigns the cr/hr ratio, if he set it too high he can't accuse the crunchers for getting too many credits and then removing them.
Suspect this will now be a dead project as no-one will crunch it now.

This project is looking a wee bit more stable now: No resets since November.

It seems to be an inobtrusive wee thing that runs alongside whatever else you are running and using up very little actual CPU time but dishing out 6 credits per WU whether they take 5 minutes or 0.25 of a second to run (the latter is more typical).

So, noticing that our rather modest 2586 was only good for 111th place I thought I'd give it a bash. We are now 108th with 3870 and another 1100 or so tomorrow might get us into the top 100. Dig in!

1st job: get back in top 100. Required: Done 2pm 25th March
2nd job: get back into the top 5 at least in the UK. Required: 1895

Shouldn't be too tricky, I've got 3 machine crunching away at it quite happily. Wus run to 120% for some reason, and it doesn't seem to cache any work, but other than that, its bonus credits time :)

Project out of work :(

Edit to update progress

Are there any more no-cpu intensive projects out there?

As far as I recall it's only FreeHAL, DepSpid and QuakeCatcher. DepSpid has been MIA for quite some time and QC requires special hardware. Oh, and you have to be located State side. ;)

Almost forgot, for any of you on limited internet up/downloads, please remember that FreeHAL and DepSpid (if it returns) are very network heavy applications...

Ok, this is a pain, but if you go to the Free Hal website, look up your position in the stats page, click on yourself, then you can set how many concurrent tasks you can run. I've set mine to 6, some people are running 25! Depending on what oher projects you are running, I find 6 quite adaquate, as any more starts playing merry hell with Burp, I haven't checked what it's doing to my CPDN.

Either way, more than 1 makes our job easier!

Err..Sorry I can't find this option and it's not in the Preferences section of "My Account". Any more clues?

Whate'er, we are up to 87th overall and are up to UK 5th. :wav:

For some reason it is not listed there. To change you must do as Reeltime said.

Go to 'Top Crunchers'
Find yourself in the list
Left click on your name.

OR

In your case, go here!

FreeHAL? Never late than never, eh? Need me to pop a core on?

Yep, the more the merrier. It can run as "non CPU intensive" for a few points every day and it won't interfere with the other projects significantly. Otherwise bung a core on... and use one of the CPU intensive configurations. :)
