Yes, they pay you some of their own cryptocurrency when you join their scheme. I think it costs you to join though and - as explained to me once by a GridCoin member - they don't pay very much.

It used to be that you had to join the GridCoin team but I gather that is no longer necessary

Currently it's trading for 1=$0.00969 (USD)
I think it's sorta based on you average and a multiplier..

having 12 strong computers is simply too many ... I ama staying with 2 x 14 xeon for SoB ... 4 x 2080 ti oc for ww ... at home I have 4 x 14 xeon for Sierpińki/Riesel ... and 4 x 6900 xt for milkyway ... also ... i5 for ecm/ecm2 ...

Yes, we believe we have fixed the problem and have identified the parties / team involved. Hugely disappointed in the behavior we believe has occurred from within the BOINC community.
