Welsh whisky? And why not. My Welsh maternal grandfather would have approved - so long as someone else was paying for it - he knew he had found his spiritual home when he moved to Aberdeen in 1938.

Apposite 'though some Merlyn would be, I'm not really into cream liquers, so I'll look forward to my bottle of Penderyn, for surely it shall be mine!

Not mine anyway.
I'm chasing a top 200 place and I've got to fend off yourself & John McLean to safeguard my TSBT second place. (The rate you are crunching an 18 million buffer isn't as unbreachable as it might once have been  )

Alas if only I could get this hardware to work lol. Looks like an ATI has gone down with hardware issues that's 2 so far.

If I can get all the bits to fly I've worked out my GPU RAC would be 300k+ or 240k at 80% utilisation. At the moment I doubt I can manage 100k
:(

Indeed I have added an I7 and put all the nVidia cards to work, rather being on my shelf, and my RAC has fallen 17k in 2 days lol.

Could be! :) TSBT is just 15.5 Million behind OcUK at as I write. So I reckon the contest is between Mike (1/5) and me (5/5).

For it to be anyone else the daily differential between us and OcUK would either have to increase to 1.7mill per day or drop to 970K per day. If it stays at the 1.25M average of the last week then it will be the 3rd of May half way between two guesses. What are the tiebreak arrangments?

In fact I think Mike has a better chance than me as our output is likely to rise, not least as 3 systems I have temporarily decommissioned and packed off to new owners within the team will likely come back on stream in the next few days, making the 2rd more likely than the 3rd.

Hmm, we've slowed down a bit and OcUK have raised their game and with just 3 days of April left we are still 10 million behind OcUK.
Boincstats predict another 11 days til the overtake which would make MacDitch the winner. Ooh isn't it exciting!

The race will soon be run.

According to Boincstats there is just 5.8 million between TSBT & Overclockers UK. The daily gain is a fairly steady 1.2 million per day. This means that, barring some seriously freaky stuff (and of course that's always fun), the comp is between me (4th to 6th May) and MacDitch (7th to 9th May).

Get your sidebets on now!

Of course, the arrival of Philippe/PhilippeD and his half million CPDN points ( ) was clearly in your favour, and has completely skewed BoincStats ability to predict the result, but I still think it'll be around the 7th.

Just have to wait and see now.

As much as it pains me to say it, I just looked at BoincStats and the rankings currently stand at:

1 - UK BOINC Team . . . . . . . . . . 413,621,423
2 - The Scottish Boinc Team . . . . 302,171,774
3 - OcUK - Overclockers UK . . . . .301,775,896

I guess that means CONGRATULATIONS MEGACRUNCHER - again!

{EDIT} Meant to say, BS's current prediction for us reaching No.1 is 10th of February 2010. :) {/EDIT}
