If cost and power consumption aren't an issue, I'd go with the 10980XE. It's supposed to turbo all cores at 3.8Ghz plus it has 4 memory channels. 3950x only has 2. Ever consider a water chiller?

Water chiller ? Was thinking more of a 280 clc push/pull thought a chiller might lead to condensation watching jayz two cents/gamers nexus ?
Have got a great deal on a Dark x299 and 32gb 4133mhz 4x8gb so just waiting for the 10th gen cpus to be released :)
