The password change page includes the following information:
I use a password manager and went through the password reset process 5 times.Password Format Requirements:
- 6 characters minimum
- 100 characters maximum
- May use alphanumeric and "special" characters (!@#$%^&*_+=:;, etc...)
The first time I reused the password manager's stored password to check that it hadn't been mangled in the move. No joy.
On each of my next 3 attempts, I adopted my usual habit of including special characters in the new password. Logging in failed every time.
To check that I wasn't going mad, I resorted to restricting the password to alphanumeric characters on my 5th attempt.
I can now log in successfully, so it looks like I have pretty conclusively demonstrated that "special" characters can no longer be used in WCG passwords
