#1 Rakesearch may be finished (no, not yet)

Post by Alez »

It seems that Rakesearch may be calling it a day. They have completed the R9 word which used the opti apps.
It looks like they dont think it worthwhile to commence R10 other than the units released which are all gone.
Any further work won't use the previous opti app, so if you have it and they come back to life you'll need to remove the app_config from your directory.

I'm trying it out. The first 270 or so WUs ran quick, like 3-18 secs each. Now they are showing anywhere from 2-13 hours. And they have new project keys. If you were already attached you'll need to detach and attach again.

Are there likely to be any FB points issued for this project?

it is on their list as needing 2M points before points awarded

Yes, although SETI.USA have allegedly already got 633M credits all on their own.
Anyhoo I'll give it a go.

Those points were earned prior to 2021. Our team and foundership was hijacked early this year. I managed to get it returned by going through hoarfrost. He reinstated the credits after the project was already shut down, thus the large number that doesn't count.

FYI, I don't see where any credits are being logged by FB this year. I know there are some because a lot of guys are running it to get wuprop stars. You might want to check on that before you fully commit.

I PM'd Timbo

The 2M criterion won't be a problem if scole carries on like he is doing :P

You guys got your points, though only 18 as they did end up crediting SUSA with 633M. I've just registered and will try to work that out with Timbo.

Indeed.
Something, and it seems a safe bet that it might be the late rebirth of Rakesearch, has cratered the FB League one stats.

The scores were up with SUSA on 25pts so I feel sure that is what is being fixed to give us a handsome 777 points overall
