From what scole says, the optimisations give fairly minor improvements. FMA on Threadripper is the only one I've bothered with

I'm glad the weather has cooled off a bit with all this crunching going on. We don't expect 18degs C in February

Finally got in from the garage at 01:30 this morning. Kart ready to run, I hope. Apologies for being MIA for the last day . Less than 24 hrs to go, I hope some of you have a bunker or two as I think we have our work cut out for us on this challenge. Some heavy hitters in the teams that have joined. Hopefully a team member or two will join in. Still time to switch over to TN-Grid for the team.
I hear my pillow calling.... track day again tomorrow.

Indeed - your replies were worthy of Boutros Boutros-Ghali himself. TSBT returned over 2M credits in first hour.

Is Gunnar from Belgium do you think? :P

Pretty much anyone that has been on a peacekeeper mission knows that UN sadly stands for Unavailable Now.

Sweden by the flag on his profile . So he's probably married to Ingar and drives a Volvo. We shouldn't judge
I did a number of jobs on a railway tunnel through a Mountain in bastad, Sweden. ( Hallands Tunnel ) Try writing a report on that, with multiple references to the location, without getting paranoid.

PeterJ.Shane wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:52 amWoodles, it is no sin to crunch for a team of your choice. Whilst it is obvious that UBT has decided to participate, I for one would follow UBT if I was a member of it. Yet, we have our favorites that we feel that we should follow. For example, I am an Australian, but in this case of a challenge, I follow my hearts desire and follow the TSBT. The choice is yours, but don't forget that TSBT is in the UK. My suggestion is to follow your heart and if TSBT or UBT is in front than that is what you should do...
Hi Pete,

Well a few of the team thought it would be a change from slogging away at the same old projects so we decided to jump in as a team.

That said, if we're getting nowhere and you need a bit of help (unlikely seeing the numbers!) I'm sure a little assistance would be forthcoming :)

At the end of the day all that matters is that a UK team comes top

Started bunkering late and busy this morning so a few hours to wait yet :-)

(I wouldn't be too concerned though, you've got some pretty big bunkers there yourselves)

Uh oh!
I just logged in & found this.
Looks like I'm back on TN Grid duty despite having finished my 1st million for it earlier today. Despite missing the starting pistol by 23 hrs I seem to be 7th user.
I must say I think victory is already in the bag. We are winning by an indecent margin.

Happy to take it lying down. There are worse things than TSBT winning a challenge by a frankly embarrassing margin, while my team-mates do all the hard work.

As for further Scottish autonomy, other options do indeed exist &, no disrespect Pete, but nobody who hasn't had to suffer Queen Nicola's punitive tax regime, whilst watching life expectancy fall relative to the rest of the UK (not least in my own family :( ) is as well qualified to comment as those of us who actually have to live here.

:D :geek:

Must say that I'm not a big fan of the Per Hour column - especially on projects with long run times. The per 12hr and per 24hr are a much better figure to be looking at IMHO. I do also show a per hr though; it varies wildly but it is good for spotting bunker drops
I think this is fool-proof but could you just try it for me please? • There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don’t

I like it. It shows me instantly if someone is powering up behind or in front of me.

I'm sure you will all be glad to hear that my sanitary engineering has been successful. The Alez household now has a fully functional toilet system again. Doing the banana dance on that one :banana-angel: :banana-blonde: :banana-dance: :banana-dreads: :banana-explosion:

Hurrah!
And we've pulled so far clear of Ars Technica (9.9M vs 2.2M) in FB that we can probably consider the 25 points as being in the bag!
