Maybe not, :violence-ripper: I'm being swamped :o but then again wouldn't be as much fun without a good taunting

Thanks to Ivan for crunching away on this. If you're lurking say hi :text-welcomewave:

Megacruncher, are you sure you don't want to try this again? We could sure use your help. Be sure to make the changes so your system only runs the 64 bit version though. Here are the instructions...https://tsbt.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php? ... 221#p61203

The only problem is it will dump any 32 bit app WUs on your system including some WCG and some GPU WUs. The Boinc police will look the other way though. I promise.

Tejas, if you're not busy we could use a wee bit of help

And how could I have forgotten Andrew! Where are you lad?

Be sure to read the post about running the 64 bit version. It's like 4-5 times faster than 32 bit version.

Not a chance. The only problem we are having is the fuse on the afterburners got wet but working to solve the problem. Jet assist you know.

Well the SUSA gang are pulling away from us pretty fast so I guess there's no point holding on to these any longer. I'm referring to WUs you children! Maybe they'll make a dent until reinforcements arrive.

Then I'll just turn mine loose too. Kidding, I'm real time. Nice show on the bunker scole. You'll have to pass that technique along at a future date.

@ Bryan - get the hair drier out and dry that fuse.

Okay, end of taunting. We're even now. :liar: :liar:

Rumor has it that SUSA was caught cheating and their credits were adjusted accordingly. TSBT now in 1st place because we play fair with the other kids.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

EDIT: I was just informed that SUSA was penalized for excessive TAUNTING and not cheating.

From Goofyx - Tonight I will moved ssd drive from project to new computer because acctuall hardware can't manage so much work to workout.

http://cpu.goofyxgridathome.net/forum_thread.php?id=25

Seems the challenge is just stressing the server too much. Much kudos for actually swapping out a server during the challenge to try and keep up. Might be wise to grab your tasks and then set network off until work completed if you can.

Well that was quick. So much for hoping SUSA would run out of WUs. The only other idea I have is to taunt them until they become so cross they will make a mistake.

Ivan back crunching and we have been joined by Mankka* 6 brave souls versus the might of the USA :D
At the half way stage we are holding a very comfortable 2nd place and looking very respectable provided SUSA don't drop any MOAB bunkers on us :o .
Way to go guys  :text-thankyouyellow:

Goofyx has set up a new server to try and keep up with the battering we are giving the project. Well done that man.

Update #3
Project is on new hardware with 2xSSD, 32GB ram, cpu i7-7700 with SPC145 cooling system, PSU Vero L2
SSD 1 is sytem and database, on the second SSD I will set up download/upload folder from project or whole project folder

Nay. I only had 181 clients to upload and thankfully they're all done. Twas a busy day Friday. If I had to upload one more client this challenge I would have pulled out what little hair I have left.

Don't think Goofyx quite realised what the full force of all the SUSA guys and girls coming out to play would entail. Can't say we haven't played an important part in the destruction either  I'm sure it will be a learning curve and Goofyx will know to have a lot more units ready for the next challenge. :shifty: Still, it's been a lot more fun than any of the recent challenges. Next time we'll get them p2

I guess we'll have to concede this one  One hell of a run though! I think we almost made them break a sweat to win it

Note to self: when you poke the sleeping giant with a stick don't use the pointy end - it wakes the giant and annoys it!

The project got some good info on where the weak points were. That should really help the project and crunchers in the future. Mission accomplished.

And after the 100k hours you'll be so close to the 50M milestone you will have to do that one  Of course when you get to 50M you are 1/2 way to the magic 100M level

Nothing dramatic at the end ... same ole, same ole. SUSA had far too many folks show up and hammer it  If we'd have had another 24M bunkered we'd have got em  The project was up/down/up/down but the admin worked his butt off trying to keep things running. He upgraded the server at least twice.
