Can you get into the bios setup if you disconnect the Linux boot disk?

Can you turn it off, remove SATA cable from HD/SSD (if it is an M.2 SSD it'll be trickier)
Check that Linux install USB isn't plugged in somewhere
Turn on and get into BIOS before Windows boots. Ensure that external DVD drive has higher boot priority than HD/SSD. Save.
Power off and replace SATA cable. Does Windows DVD boot on power up?
