#1 ping

can you not ping a Microsoft Windows machine?
I think this is fool-proof but could you just try it for me please? • There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don’t

I can ping FROM it, I just can't ping it from anywhere else (as I regularly do for a health-check).

Code: Select all

$ ping 192.168.2.221
PING 192.168.2.221 (192.168.2.221) 56(84) bytes of data.
^C
--- 192.168.2.221 ping statistics ---
20 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 426ms
I've got it connected via boincmgr now too. For some reason 700Mb of AMD driver software still only gets me 640x480 resolution on its own display. Not too bothered by this in the long run as the display has to come off anyhow.
