#1 Campaign #10 is SRBase

Post by Alez »

Campaign #10 is SRBase a project run by rebirther.

SRBase is trying to solve all outstanding Riesel / Sierpinski bases up to 1030. The main project Mersenne has started it for a long time ago but they have not the power to finish them.

The project needs an upgrade of the current hardware to get it running in a bigger BOINC environment. The money is needed for a Samsung 840 Pro Series SSD 512GB (running the VM on it including backups and result files), 16GB RAM for edit the sieve files, creating work, running server, modem replacement. The rest of the monthly costs will be paid by myself.

Goal is 300 euro.

Campaign #10 part 3 now up and running.
This fundraiser is needed for a Samsung Portable SSD 2TB making backups and storing results for the SRBase project. The results are growing very fast in size and my current SSD has reached its storing limit.
Required amount is 750 euro.
