Impressive indeed: Both in content & compilation!
Congrats to everyone mentioned. :wav:
Originally Buster used to do all the Kudos. Then I had a go. We both gave up - although Buster's excuses are much better than mine. Keeping track of it all is hard work so the $64,000 question is are you going to make this a regular feature? :)

I remember Buster's kudos. It kept the team motivated. I might give it a go. Let me see if I can write a script to make the assembly of the list easier.

I can remember when I did it. It was MUCH easier because we only hand a handful of projects.
I can't imagine doing it now. Good luck.

I'll try again tonight, when I'm finished travelling home from Norway, but still have no idea why myself and scole are the only two with the power......

Pete, are you happy with this thread being here or do you want me to move it into the milestones forum ?
Great work by the way, much appreciated you reviving this for the forum.

I've moved it for you. If you want I can make you a moderator for the milestones forum ? You don't have to if you don't want, no pressure or arm twisting.McShane of TSBT wrote: ↑Fri May 12, 2017 10:17 amYou are right Alez, I think it would be better placed under the milestones forum.

So all the World Community Grid projects are lumped together?
I was surprised to see SBT's contribution to WCG is very variable - goes up and down a lot. Was down a lot then went up really a lot towards the end of May. And it seems only quite a small fraction of SBT member's points go to WCG. Most people seem to be contributing to other stuff.

All the stats sites use a project total, not sub-project level. There are many projects with sub-projects and all stats sites report project total. Free-DC stats does have a place where your individual sub-project totals are reported but not at the team or project level, I don't think.noetus wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2017 1:37 pm So all the World Community Grid projects are lumped together?

TSBT members crunch a wide variety of projects. We have focused on WCG recently trying to increase our world position, the goal being getting into the top 100. We jump around to other projects for team gains also. Rosetta is one we recently fell out of the top 100 in so we'll be trying to focus a little more on it too.
#22 Re: Recent Milestones
Once we have made Rosetta ( another bio project , forum info here ) respectable again, we will be back on WCG.
Some crunchers will only ever crunch one project, either because it has deep intrest or personal meaning or they simply install Boinc, set it running on a project and never go any further.
Some , like most of the idiots you've met on here so far , move around different projects for points, badges, help debug new apps, competitions etc.
You also can't compare projects with points as a level of intrest as some projects pay more than others, some use GPU's so obviously you get more points as the GFlops are far greater etc.

#23 Re: Recent Milestones
Sorry to be thick, but how are milestones calculated? The WCG homepage shows I've crunched 1,415,613 points for TSBT (as of just now).

#24 Re: Recent Milestones
The Milestones are being reported as Boinc credits. WCG has their own credit system. Boinc stats sites like Free-DC and Boinc Stats convert the WCG credits in to Boinc credits. I think Boinc credits are around 1/7 of the WCG credits. I think WCG is the only project like this. All other Boinc projects award straight Boinc credits.
#25 Re: Recent Milestones
The tables look good Pete, but as you've found they are not very user friendly to produce.
Old style is fine, but I'll try and think of a way to automate some form of a table for you if you wish. Not promising anything though.

Wow, Pete half the Milestones are mine! I am overwhelmed and humbled.
Many thanks, but a word from the wise, experienced & irreparably psychologically damaged: Maintaining this thread will drive you mad!
It was bad enough when we had 1 project and a couple of hundred members.
But with 1154 members and 49ish active projects keeping up is err.. a little bit tricky.
But thanks anyway & good luck!

I hadn't noticed the Free DC link before. It should make your job slightly easier than impossible.
As for livening up the forum, go for it!
Kudos has always been important for us so if you can get it licked without reducing yourself to a gibbering wreck then much respect to you!
