PrimeGrid projects PPSE
PPSE is ending sometime in the near future so if you want any more PPSE badge upgrades or WUProp hours, this challenge would be a good time to do it.
As with all PrimeGrid project challenges, only WUs downloaded after the challenge begins will count so no need to bunker. You want to start with an empty cache

PPSE is not my favorite one ... I have a lot of findings with that SubProject ... I am with a March, October and November Challenge, every Challenge is towards Sierpińk Numbers ... ESP, SR5 and PSP ...

No problem Gregg.
But I suspect quite a few of us are more than happy with PPSE and will be giving this one some serious laldy!

Remember that in PPSE there is NO need to Multi thread as these are small numbers.

10 hours in and we are in 8th place.
Given that we are a small team & it is CPU only, this is not too bad really.
And I've discovered a new Prime - only my 6th.
Let's hear it for 3285*2^1803791+1

I wonder why my Threadripper is many times faster than the AMD 7950X, and yet it is running 128 tasks at once? Perhaps because it is the only one on Linux?

Just my guess: If it is running Windows, last update has replaced the proprietary GPU driver with Window's own -because they think you are better off not having an OpenCL capable GPU....Microsoft knows what is good for you, even better than you do./sarcasm

We finished 10th. Quite respectable in the circumstances.
Individual rankings were:
Mega cruncher 19th
Miklos 26th
Wailing Angus Beef 87th
Many thanks to my anonymous benefactors!
Well done & I’m sure we will do even better when we get some GPU challenges.

Okay. Thanks. I just got another one on PPSE!
Until FB comes back on stream & other fights aside, I think PG is where I'll be directing most of my resources.
