#1 Welcome to our middle-aged male geeks!
Here are some interesting website stats from Google Analytics:
100% of our visitors have been tagged as Male. Anyone wish to declare female status?
82.83% of our visitors have a primary interest in "Science/Computer Science/Distributed & Parallel Computing"
Only 44% of our visitors speak UK English. While 50% speak US English.
46% of all sessions start form the UK. So that means that ~2% of UK originated sessions don't use UK English.
11% of all visits are from the Netherlands
3.5% of all visits are from Germany
1% of all visits are from France
12.5% of all sessions last more than 30 minutes.
31% of all sessions last less than 10 seconds. These sessions use the following and I guess are expected:
- http://www.tsbt.co.uk/forum/search.php? ... nreadposts
- http://www.tsbt.co.uk/forum/search.php? ... d=newposts
12.1% of all sessions start from "time warner cable internet llc" :bounce: - we know who you are :)
25% of all traffic comes from mobile devices such as phones and tablets.

Another interesting stat would be that we have zero presence on social media.

Every link you click tells the destination website where it originated.Silver wrote:Or is it just some interweb magic.........

Is there a problem about being a middle-aged male geek?
Anyway as someone approaching his 54th birthday I now wonder when you stop being middle aged? After all, just how many 108 year-olds do you know?
It's sad but true that in 16 years I cannot recall an instance of an actual declared human female posting here.
But it's not as if I ever logged in looking for Lurve! Not here anyway!

Come to think of it I have never seen any posts from a female either. We've had quite a few on the team (unless they all used
a female moniker).
As far as middle-aged geeks. How about one in his seventies. 8)
