im new to it all, dont have any super systems, but enough for the job ( 1x old school gamer,
3.6ghz, with old school msi gfroce4 mx440, 1x core i5 laptop medium end, and a dual core 6.2ghz total, 4mbram, msi sidewinder 5400)
hoping to get an android quad core tv box this christmas, that should help too as ive seen that boinc can be downloaed for android
great to see a massive community dedicated to helping out, I never thought of this until i started looking at bitcoins (obviously no good for me lol) and ive asked about and nobody knows about this :O
somebody needs to get the word out

Glad to have you along. You don't need a super system, anything to help the cause is great!
As long as you don't have a competitive/addictive nature you'll be fine, I didn't realise how important trying to get my name higher up a leade rboard of people I've never met was until I got here

Welcome Kieren. I've been doing this on and off for 15 years. That's how addictive it is.
You will have no problem here getting answers to questions. Even though we compete among

hi all thankyou for your kind welcomes,
ideal ill be sure to check that out before making the purchase on the android box
no super machines this christmas but possibly an xbox one, (being as ive put £250 towards it hehe)
im not really looking for any competition, but ill be looking to make a good start, its just fantastic to know that when i forget to turn off the pc, im not really 'wasting' money anymore as my computer is at least doing something, with the android box itll be even better, with such a tiny power consumption i can leave it on all day
