Not sure the contribution this project makes to the world but at least it's different. Only runs on linux. Runtimes range from 0:45-1:15 depending on the system. If you can't run native linux you can always setup a linux virtual box. Tech support will be provided. WU deadline is only 2 days so not much bunkering required.
I can always use the WUProp hours. Any interest?

If there is free Tech Support I might give it a whirl! You gotta take those freebies when you can get em

Unfortunately you've already used up your quota for free tech support. I'm afraid you'll need to use our premium subscription service. I'll be glad to register you. I'll just need your CC number, exp date and 3 digit verification code on the back. :)Bryan wrote:If there is free Tech Support I might give it a whirl! I knew it, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is! Another one of those "bait and switch" operations

My good man, this is a value service and because you've been such a good customer (and by good, I mean frequent) , we will offer you a special deal on a MCSE Training Guide for Windows NT Server 4 absolutely free. You only need to include 39.95 to cover shipping and handling. And you order right now, I'll also include the Windows NT Server 4 Enterprise training guide for just the additional S&H charge of $15. Sorry, no CODs. We're no fools :)Bryan wrote:I knew it, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is! Another one of those "bait and switch" operations

Not sure what to go for. None of the next few interest me. Might do seti as my numbers on that are woofull or may hit WCG for a week or so. If we are just doing a comp for comps sake, any interest in either boosting a FB project ( not sure if I can be bothered after their debacle ) or in trying to grab back a #1 spot on a project in UK ?

Pick a project. I'm in. WCG is good too as I can work on the Smash Childhood Cancer badge. I need to finish the TN-Grid challenge though.
#9 Re: 10/2-15/2 WEP-M+2 Winter Challenge
I'm finishing the TNGrid challenge to. Right board away to go dark. As admin you will still see it, off for everyone else.

Can we run this? Can we, can we, can we? We can come back to WCG afterwards. I have a couple systems still soaking up Gerasim GPU work that I'll leave on WCG as well as androids.
Any objections? I want to taunt Mindcrime on the challenge shout box

I feel your pain Alez but I need some credits. 1.1M in fact so it will be almost a career It'll probably take a couple of challenges to get there.Alez wrote:I aint quiting WCG for WEP. No way hosey.
#14 Re: 10/2-15/2 WEP-M+2 Winter Challenge
Not wasting my electricity crunching the same unit over and over again in some vain attempt to promote linux as an operating system. I know well that nix is superior to doze except for AMD GPU support. But hey, that's my opinion. Other opinions are available Apparently Or so I am toldBryan wrote:I feel your pain Alez but I need some credits. 1.1M in fact so it will be almost a career It'll probably take a couple of challenges to get there.Alez wrote:I aint quiting WCG for WEP. HEADS UP
WEP has both 32 and 64 bit applications and I just found out it will send 32 bit to 64 machines. You might want to turn on no_alt_platform in your cc_config.

Maybe the powers that be are saying WCG needs you ...... OK tenuous but give me credit for trying
And I'm calling bad scole for having the attention span of some small creature, maybe even an aquatic entity in a small bowl and not lasting a whole week. Yes I'm shaming
When I stated there was no team orders maybe I was a bit vague on the whole shaming thing

Ouch Pete ... I hate it when crap like that happens. I've been there, done that, and got the T-shirt
With regards to WCG, Scole suffers from ADD (attention deficit disorder) so he is easily distracted. In my case it is senility. I forget why I was running 1 project and move on to another It is fun waking up to a brand new world every morning!

I'm all for pushing WCG. I just thought this would be good brief diversion. Don't think I'm going to be able to load a bunker though. I got thrown into the cardiac ICU yesterday and stuck here until at least tomorrow. Long story. Tell ya about it later.
#19 Re: 10/2-15/2 WEP-M+2 Winter Challenge
Get off the dang computer Steve and get some rest!!! ICU isn't the right place to be messing around!
Praying things are going well!!!!!!

The server isn't the only thing he broke. Better be getting rest or a pissed off trauma nurse is going for a not vacation across the pond. Trust me, we're talking Kathy Bates in Misery. Hashtag hammer time .....

Well unless WEP is able to get their database back up and running within the next 2 days, it looks like TBST can claim to be the winner!
I'm doing fine Pete. Thanks for asking. Feel great. Just have to take it easy for the next week or so. Can't wait to have a beer again!
